Welcome!

Welcome to MOMS Club of Goodyear-South!
MOMS Club of Goodyear-South, Arizona is a chapter of International MOMS Club®, a non-profit network of support groups for stay-at-home moms. MOMS Offering Moms Support is what our club is all about. At one time or another, many of us have felt lonely and isolated in the wonderful world of motherhood. While we are so happy to be able to dedicate our time raising our children, we still long for friendship and conversation with other adults. You need a support group that understands your special needs as an at-home mother, and MOMS Club is a great way to find that support. Not only is the MOMS Club an easy way to meet other moms, it’s also a wonderful way for our children to meet other children, learn to play together, and make friends. Because our focus is on activities for moms and kids, children are welcome to all events. Annual dues are minimal and the benefits are endless.

Our Activities

Our Activities
Playgroups
We offer age-specific playgroups which meet once a week. These small groups of 4-6 women and kids may meet at homes, in the park, or where ever the particular group may choose.

Monthly Activities
We schedule a wide variety of free or low-cost activities each month from park days to craft activities to lunch at kid-friendly restaurants and museum visits. Past outings have included pottery painting, Pump It Up, the Arizona Puppet Theater, the Phoenix Zoo and behind the scene tours of an ice cream store, pizza resteraunt and fire station.

Mom’s Night Out
Once a month we have an evening out for moms only. Mom’s Night Out can be anything from dinner, a movie, or even bowling. Everyone is sure to have kid-free fun.

Monthly Parties/Celebrations
Our club hosts monthly celebrations for moms and kids centering around a holiday or season, or just a theme of good old fashioned fun.

Service/Charitable Projects
A key aspect of our club is performing service projects. We try to engage in a charitable or service project once a quarter, and we encourage all members to become involved. We participate with our children in numerous charitable activities to foster in them a strong sense of philanthropy, compassion, social welfare and community involvement.

Business Meetings
Business meetings are held on the third Friday of each month and provide a great opportunity to meet other moms and to get involved in our club.

Newsletter
Each month our club publishes a newsletter that is sent to all of our members. The newsletter provides club news, parenting tips, the calendar of activities, and much more.

Becoming a Member

Becoming a Member
Stay-at-home and part-time working Moms are invited to join our Chapter. Our dues are $20 per year, which helps pay for monthly newsletters, postage, parties, service project expenses, etc. All Board Members and Coordinators are volunteers. A registration form and release of liability statement must be completed and signed by each new member. Upon registration, new members receive a New Member Packet containing valuable information, a complimentary MOMS Club Membership Pin, and the current calendar of Chapter events.

We understand that being an at-home mother often means a tight family budget, so if the dues would be a hardship for your family, please talk to one of our Board members.
Those interested in joining MOMS Club of Goodyear-South, may attend two club functions before deciding to become a member. Members are not pressured to attend activities, so the degree of involvement in the chapter is entirely up to the individual.

Please feel free to drop in and visit us. We look forward to seeing you and your little ones soon!!

MOMS Club of Goodyear-South is open to all Goodyear residents living south of I-10.

MOMS Club International Goals

MOMS Club International Goals

To provide a support group for mothers who choose to stay at home to raise their children

To provide a forum for topics of interest to mothers

To help children in the community

To perform at least one service project yearly helping needy children

MOMS Club International Principles

MOMS Club International Principles

That women must be free to choose their personal path to fulfillment
That, for women who choose it, raising children is an important and fulfilling full-time job
That a family's decision for a mother to stay at home to raise the children often involves considerable financial sacrifice
That there is no one right way to raise children, but our members have a common concern in raising their children in a healthful way

MOMS Club International History

MOMS Club International History

The MOMS Club began in 1983 when Mary James, an at-home mother in California, decided she was tired of being alone at home. She wanted to meet other at-home mothers and she wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start a brand new organization just for at-home mothers, and the MOMS Club was born.
The chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the MOMS Club, too. Soon she and other volunteers were helping mothers start MOMS Clubs across the country and around the world! We now have 2,000+ chapters in the US alone and over 100,000 members!. We also have International chapters starting too!
