MOMS Club of Goodyear-South
Welcome!
Our Activities
We offer age-specific playgroups which meet once a week. These small groups of 4-6 women and kids may meet at homes, in the park, or where ever the particular group may choose.
Monthly Activities
We schedule a wide variety of free or low-cost activities each month from park days to craft activities to lunch at kid-friendly restaurants and museum visits. Past outings have included pottery painting, Pump It Up, the Arizona Puppet Theater, the Phoenix Zoo and behind the scene tours of an ice cream store, pizza resteraunt and fire station.
Mom’s Night Out
Once a month we have an evening out for moms only. Mom’s Night Out can be anything from dinner, a movie, or even bowling. Everyone is sure to have kid-free fun.
Monthly Parties/Celebrations
Our club hosts monthly celebrations for moms and kids centering around a holiday or season, or just a theme of good old fashioned fun.
Service/Charitable Projects
A key aspect of our club is performing service projects. We try to engage in a charitable or service project once a quarter, and we encourage all members to become involved. We participate with our children in numerous charitable activities to foster in them a strong sense of philanthropy, compassion, social welfare and community involvement.
Business Meetings
Business meetings are held on the third Friday of each month and provide a great opportunity to meet other moms and to get involved in our club.
Newsletter
Each month our club publishes a newsletter that is sent to all of our members. The newsletter provides club news, parenting tips, the calendar of activities, and much more.

MOMS Club International Goals
To provide a support group for mothers who choose to stay at home to raise their children
To provide a forum for topics of interest to mothers
To help children in the community
To perform at least one service project yearly helping needy children
MOMS Club International Principles
That women must be free to choose their personal path to fulfillment
That, for women who choose it, raising children is an important and fulfilling full-time job
That a family's decision for a mother to stay at home to raise the children often involves considerable financial sacrifice
That there is no one right way to raise children, but our members have a common concern in raising their children in a healthful way
MOMS Club International History
The MOMS Club began in 1983 when Mary James, an at-home mother in California, decided she was tired of being alone at home. She wanted to meet other at-home mothers and she wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start a brand new organization just for at-home mothers, and the MOMS Club was born.
The chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the MOMS Club, too. Soon she and other volunteers were helping mothers start MOMS Clubs across the country and around the world! We now have 2,000+ chapters in the US alone and over 100,000 members!. We also have International chapters starting too!
